Google finally bought http://adsense.com

For the longest time, "Adsense Consulting" had the message on their site that said: "If you think you can get rich quick placing other people's ads on your site or blog, please contact Google who has taken and used our business name without permission or compensation."

Nobody knows how much Google bought the domain for, I'm sure Adsense Consulting sucked every dime out of Google possible though lol.

Here is the whois report now:

A Saudi court has sentenced a gang rape victim to 90 lashes of the whip because she was alone in a car with a man to whom she was not married.

The sentence was passed at the end of a trial in which the al- Qateef high criminal court convicted four Saudis convicted of the rape, sentencing them to prison terms and a total of 2,230 lashes.

The four, all married, were sentenced respectively to five years and 1,000 lashes, four years and 800 lashes, four years and 350 lashes, and one year and 80 lashes.

A fifth, married, man who was stated to have filmed the rape on his mobile phone still faces investigation. Two others alleged to have taken part in the rape evaded capture.

Saudi courts take marital status into account in sexual crimes. A male friend of the rape victim was also sentenced to 90 lashes for being alone with her in the car.

The court heard that the victim and her friend were followed by the assailants to their car, kidnapped and taken to a remote farm, where the raping occurred.

The victim was quoted by Okaz newspaper as saying she had expected harsher penalties for the assailants, especially as they had pleaded not guilty.

Her husband and family said that they would appeal to the court Saturday for harsher penalties for a crime which has shocked public opinion in Saudi Arabia and been the subject of months of debate.

According to the Assyrian website ankawa.com, a 14 year old Christian Assyrian boy, Ayad Tariq, from Baqouba, Iraq was decapitated at his work place on October 21.

Ayad Tariq was working his 12 hour shift, maintaining an electric generator, when a group of disguised Muslim insurgents walked in at the beginning of his shift shortly after 6 a.m. and asked him for his ID.

According to another employee who witnessed the events, and who hid when he saw the insurgents approach, the insurgents questioned Ayad after seeing that his ID stated "Christian", asking if he was truly a "Christian sinner." Ayad replied "yes, I am Christian but I am not a sinner." The insurgents quickly said this is a "dirty Christian sinner!" Then they proceeded to each hold one limb, shouting "Allahu akbar! Allahu akbar!" while beheading the boy.

Google to buy YouTube for $1.65 billion
Search engine leader looks to bulk up in the lucrative online video market.
By Paul R. La Monica, CNNMoney.com editor at large
October 9 2006: 4:46 PM EDT

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Google, the Internet's leading search engine, announced Monday that it is buying popular online video site YouTube for $1.65 billion in stock.

YouTube, which was founded in February 2005, has quickly become the most well-known of several online video sites. More than 100 million videos, many of which are short videos created by the site's users, are downloaded a day on the site.

According to Internet research firm Hitwise, YouTube has about a 46 percent share of the online video market.

For Google, the purchase of YouTube gives the company the ability to tap into the potentially lucrative online video and social networking markets. Some analysts have criticized Google for relying too much on advertising tied to keyword searches.

The combination of Google and YouTube could further strengthen Google's dominance in online advertising, giving it an edge over rivals such as Yahoo!, Microsoft's MSN and News Corp., which owns the social networking site MySpace. Some analysts said Monday that Yahoo, Microsoft and News Corp. also had probably expressed interest in buying YouTube.

In a statement, Google said that YouTube will operate as an independent unit of Google once the deal closes and will retain the YouTube brand name. The companies added that no YouTube workers will lose their jobs as a result of the acquisition and that Google will maintain its own online video business.

Clayton Moran, an analyst with Stanford Group, said after the deal was announced that Google was paying a rich price for YouTube. But he said Google needed to do something to become more competitive with MySpace, which currently ranks in second place in online video market share.

"My sense is that Google is paying a full price considering that YouTube is still unproven in regards to its revenue potential. But considering the success of MySpace it was clearly worthwhile for Google to take this step," Moran said.

Reports of a deal first began to circulate on Friday. Shares of Google rose about 2 percent on the Nasdaq Monday after posting a similar gain on Friday. The stock dipped slightly in after hours trading.

So, I'm sure most of you remember the big fuss a few weeks ago about those two or three sites that had billions, yes thats BILLIONS of pages indexed by Google, nothing but pure spam. Well, it was posted on the Digital Point Webmaster Forum and gained attention fast, quickly making the frontpage of Digg and other such sites.

To Google's credit, they got rid of those three sites pretty fast. Good job on that. But there is a bigger problem, the exploit/hole is still there. There are still billions of spam pages indexed as I found tonight when I made a search. Somewhere, someone, knows the hole and they're exploiting it and making a TON of cash at the cost of our searching experience. They also seem to target search typo's, maybe to avoid detection and fly under the radar?

Here's a few examples of what I mean:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=cabineys
(search typo of cabinets)

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=free+ringtpnes (free ringtones)

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=used+cas
(used cars typo)

And the list goes on, pretty much any major keyword you search for that contains a typo, is nothing but these spam pages, millions upon millions of them.

Whats worse? I did whois on some of the domains, most of them were registered just two weeks ago, already they have this many pages indexed.
But it gets better...

I gathered this list, just a tiny fraction of blog spam I was able to find by searching for: "typo keyword here, blog".

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&sa=G&q=site:gzadh.info

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&sa=G&q=site:ldless.be

Hell, I even found a partypoker.com casino ripoff here:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&sa=G&q=site:-partypoker.org

I looked at the whois and did reverse IP look up on some of these domains, I found out this seems to be his money maker> http://www.find.fm/?aid=4077
Obviously his affiliate ID is 4077. So we will call him "Spammer4077". =P
